They change because they need to enter through the shapes at their bottom and fall through them in the right position, which you need to make sure of by spinning the blocks around to fit it. You can use either the right and left arrows or the mouse. If you get stuck on a block too long without spinning right, you lose. Reach the bottom shape to complete the level, and the easier the shapes fall and fit through the holes, the more points you will get by the end of the game.
